At 3 Sisters Equine Refuge, we don't just rescue horses. We stand by them for life.
Since 2012, we've helped more than 500 equines find hope, healing, and a brighter future. Along the way, we've become a trusted resource for horse owners, families, and communities facing difficult circumstances.
This year alone, we've:

Fully funded nearly $36,000 in veterinary care for Rocky, an orphaned Warm Springs foal who is now thriving.

Helped vulnerable horse owners through rescue-in-place assistance, including feed, farrier, and veterinary support.

Provided safe options for senior horses whose owners could no longer care for them.

Established and led the Warm Springs Animal Relief Fund, raising approximately $40,000 and working with hay growers and agricultural partners to support animals and families impacted by the Bench Fire.
Every one of these efforts has been accomplished by an all-volunteer team committed to showing up when help is needed most.

How we help our community
Orphan Rescue
Rocky B arrived as a critically injured orphaned foal requiring approximately $36,000 in veterinary care. Thanks to the support of our community, Rocky received the treatment he needed and is now thriving like any other young colt. His story is a powerful reminder that rescue is only the beginning.
Emergency Vet Care
When emergency situations arise, timely veterinary intervention can mean the difference between life and death. Your support helps ensure vulnerable horses receive immediate medical attention, diagnostics, and treatment when they need it most.
Community Fundraising for Hay
When the Bench Fire devastated grazing and hay lands in Warm Springs, our community responded. Through the Warm Springs Animal Relief Fund, we helped raise critical resources and coordinate donated hay to support livestock owners, families, and animals through the winter and beyond.
Compassionate End of Life
Every horse deserves dignity, comfort, and freedom from suffering. We are committed to providing compassionate end-of-life support when quality of life can no longer be maintained, ensuring no horse faces their final chapter alone.
Community Fundraising for Pet Food
Supporting animals extends beyond the horses in our care. During times of crisis, we work alongside community partners to provide food and supplies for companion animals, ensuring families can keep beloved pets safe and cared for during difficult times.
Evacuation Assistance
Natural disasters and emergencies can force families and animals from their homes with little warning. We assist with transportation, temporary housing, and emergency response efforts to help keep horses and livestock safe when disaster strikes.

On November 7, 2026, guests will experience the full journey beyond rescue through real stories, meaningful experiences, and opportunities to support the work that happens long after the initial rescue.
